We are appealing for information following a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Cheadle.
We went to Tean Road just before 3pm on Saturday (6 January) with West Midlands Ambulance Service and found a black Volkswagen Polo and a woman, in her 80s, involved in a collision.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Polo stayed at the scene to help officer with inquiries.
