Appeal after man struck with machete

We are appealing for information after a man was struck with a machete in Tamworth.

We were called to Tamworth Road, Amington, just after 11.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 9 January).

The victim, reported parking at an address on Tamworth Road and eight men emerging from two dark-coloured cars nearby.

The victim was then assaulted by one of the men using a machete. The victim was not injured.

We are reviewing CCTV of the area at the time of the assault.
