We have made an arrest in Tamworth as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle drug crime in Staffordshire.
At around 4pm yesterday (8 February), we searched a man on Masefield Drive. We found drugs, suspected to be heroin, cash and a mobile phone.
A 39-year-old man, from Tamworth, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a drug of class A. He has since been released under investigation.
The arrest forms part of our ongoing commitment to proactively targeting serious and organised crime across Staffordshire.
We launched Operation Target in May last year and have been working with local police forces to disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
