We are appealing for information after four men tried to steal a car in Cheadle.
Just after 12.45am on Tuesday (30 January), CCTV showed the group approaching a Volkswagen Touareg at an address off Glebe Road.
They left the scene without taking it after setting off the car alarm.
All four men were then seen getting into a car heading in the direction of Brookhouses.
Two of them were wearing jogging bottoms and hoodies.
We are reviewing CCTV of the area at the time of the incident and carrying out enquiries to find out more.
If you have any information that could help us with our inquiries, call us on 101, quoting incident 623 of 30 January, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
