A woman who tried to flush crack cocaine down the toilet during a police raid has been jailed for drug supply offences in Burton-on-Trent.
Marsha Wigston, 40, of Burton-on-Trent, was inside a home when proactive officers forced their way inside for a search on 11 January this year.
She threw foil wraps of class A drugs out of the bathroom window and tried to flush crack cocaine down the toilet when she was caught.
Officers also found heroin on her during the search and then found a burner phone and £325 in cash inside the address.
We secured the evidence needed to charge Wigston with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, heroin and possessing criminal property.
She was also arrested and charged following a separate incident on 12 October 2021. We searched a house in the area and found Wigston inside, along with individual wraps of crack cocaine, heroin, a burner phone and more cash.
She was sentenced to three-years-and-nine-months imprisonment at Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday (11 December) after she pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
