Woman charged with murder

A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Norton Canes.

We were called to a report of a man in his 30s in cardiac arrest inside a home on Elm Road at 3.25am on Christmas Day (Wednesday 25 December).

The man died at the scene shortly after.

Officers are continuing to support his family at this time.

Kirsty Carless, 33, of Cannock, has been charged with murder. She is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Saturday 28 December).
