We are appealing for information and witnesses after a 16-year-old boy suffered a broken jaw in an attack in Cannock recently.
The assault took place at around 7.40pm on Tuesday 26 November on Stafford Road, near the Podge & Tin eatery.
The victim was taken to hospital by family members and is now continuing his recovery at home.
A 17-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, has since been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.
A total of four other boys are believed to have been involved and we would like to speak to them about what happened.
We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a group of young men in Cannock town centre prior to the assault or anyone who has relevant dashcam footage.
Anyone with information should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 618 of 26 November.
To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
