A police officer has been dismissed without notice.
PC Lucy Rowe, based in south Staffordshire, has been dismissed without notice following an accelerated misconduct hearing.
An investigation by our Professional Standards Department found that, PC Rowe failed to cease all contact with a member of the public, she allowed the same member of the public into her home and she failed to report contact with that person.
The panel found that her conduct amounted to gross misconduct.
The one-day hearing which took place on Thursday 19 December, which was chaired by Chief Constable Chris Noble, found Rowe had breached the standards relating to honesty and integrity and orders and instructions.
Rowe will be placed on the national College of Policing’s Barred List, preventing her from working within policing and other law enforcement bodies.
Deputy Chief Constable Jon Roy said: “We expect the highest standards of integrity and conduct from our officers.
“We continue to make clear the level of conduct required, to make it easier for our officers to report misconduct and to search out and remove those unsuitable to work at Staffordshire Police, and subsequently other forces.”
