A man has been arrested following a fatal non-stop collision in Tamworth.
We were called to Masefield Drive at 7.40pm last night (Wednesday 18 December) following reports of a collision between a car and an E-scooter.
The driver of the car failed to stop.
West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, a 47-year-old man died at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Just before 3.20am today (19 December), a 28-year-old man, from the Tamworth area, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He remains in custody for questioning.
