We have arrested a woman after seizing a machete in Stoke-on-Trent.
At 9.20am on Wednesday (14 August), we were called to an alleyway off Berdmore Street in Fenton when a small group of people with machetes were seen.
Firearms officers went to the scene and searched a man and a woman in the area.
A machete was found in a rucksack on the woman.
A 37-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife or sharp pointed object in a public place.
She has been questioned and released on police bail while our investigation continues.
