Just after 11.30pm on Tuesday (20 August) officers signalled for a white Ford Focus on Moorland Road, Burslem, to pull over.
The vehicle failed to stop.
Officers followed the Focus, which then pulled over near to Windermere Street, Cobridge, a short time later.
The driver ran away from the vehicle but was located underneath another car by PD Joschi.
A 25-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and driving a vehicle dangerously.
