We’ve made an arrest following reports of a man making threats with a box-cutting knife in Stoke-on-Trent.
We were called just before 8.15pm on Monday 5 August to reports of a man threatening customers with a small knife at McDonald’s on Parliament Row, Hanley.
No-one was reported injured.
We searched a man in the area who was found in possession of a Stanley knife and a pair of scissors.
A 34-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place and affray.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
