A man who burgled a home in Stoke-on-Trent and took candles, clothing and other goods has been jailed for more than two years.
Adam Reynolds, 35, of no fixed address, went inside a flat on The Villas back in June. He was challenged by a neighbour when he was searching the inside, prompting him to leave the scene on a push bike.
A description of Reynolds was passed to officers who were already in the area. He was found and arrested on Hartshill Road shortly after.
The goods were then returned to the victim and Reynolds was charged with the offences.
Reynolds pleaded guilty to burglary at an earlier hearing and was sentenced to two-years-and-four-months imprisonment at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday 14 August.
We don’t underestimate the impact that burglary, theft and robbery can have on victims and we’re continuing to work proactively to stop those who are blighting local residents and businesses across the city.
