Five more people have been charged following the violent disorder in Stoke-on-Trent.
Andrew Townley, 45, of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and James Fernandes, 29, of Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, have both been charged with violent disorder and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Deana Evans, 32, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with violent disorder and common assault of an emergency worker.
Ashley Morris, 31, and Ciaran Lockett, 34, both of Newcastle-under-Lyme, have been charged with violent disorder.
We have now arrested 60 people and charged a total of 23 as part of our investigation into the disorder in Stoke-on-Trent on 3 August and Tamworth on 4 August.
Morris is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Tuesday 27 August).
Lockett and Evans have been remanded in custody ahead of their next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 30 August.
Fernandes has been remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 6 September.
Townley has been remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 10 September.
