A fifth man has been charged after a man died in Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent.
We launched our investigation after being called by the ambulance service to reports that a man was in cardiac arrest on Buccleuch Road, Normacot, at 12.50am on Monday (22 July).
Thapelo Jali, aged 21, was found in an alleyway with serious injuries and sadly nothing could be done to save him.
Hakim Mohammed, 22, from Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife/sharp pointed article in a public place.
Specialist officers continue to support Thapelo’s family, who have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
He has appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning and had been remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Monday (5 August).
