A teenage boy has been charged with various offences after we stopped a stolen car in Stoke-on-Trent.
The 15-year-old, of Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, two counts of making off without payment, one count of driving a motor vehicle without a license, one count of driving without insurance one count of failing to co-operate with a preliminary test.
It comes after we responded to reports of a Toyota Yaris driving on Weston Coyney Road, Meir, on Tuesday (30 July). It was stopped and later found to be stolen and involved in two separate drive-offs from fuel stations in the area.
The boy is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 21 August.
