A man has been charged with weapon offences following a disturbance in Tamworth.
Florin Batcu, 35, from the Tamworth area, has been charged with possessing an imitation firearm in a public place and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Armed officers were called to Albert Road at 10.30pm on Saturday (20 April) following reports of a man with a knife and a gun. We recovered a knife and a BB gun.
No-one was injured.
Batcu has been bailed and is due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 12 June.
