A man has been arrested in Stoke-on-Trent after we found monkey dust and a realistic fake handgun.
At 12.35pm yesterday (Wednesday 17 April), we were called to Lamb Street in Hanley when a man was seen with drugs in the area.
Officers went to the scene and searched him, finding monkey dust and a fake black handgun.
A 63-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm in a public place and possession of a controlled class B drug.
He is still in custody today (18 April).
Chief Inspector of the Stoke North local policing team, Scott McGrath, said: "We want to carry on tackling the issues that matter most to local people by being visible and acting robustly on the information that local residents and businesses give us.
"Patrols in the area will be continuing as part of our dedicated efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour and other local priorities on a proactive scale."
