We are investigating after a man was found with facial injuries in Stoke-on-Trent.
Just before 9pm on Tuesday (23 April) we received a report that a man had gone into a shop on Liverpool Road after being assaulted.
The incident happened on Liverpool Road during an argument between the victim and another man.
The 29-year-old victim was taken to hospital after suffering a wound to his face, which we think was caused by a blade. Thankfully, his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The suspect was wearing a grey tracksuit and a knee-length black puffer jacket with no sleeves and was carrying a green bag. He is believed to be in his 40s.
We set up a cordon on Liverpool Road while we searched the area and carried out CCTV enquiries to find out more about what happened.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and for anybody with relevant dash cam of CCTV footage to get in touch.
