Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Stoke-on-Trent.
At around 1am on Saturday 23 March, a man, in his 40s, was approached by two unknown men outside a home near Ball Hayes Road in Chell Heath and assaulted.
The victim required surgery to treat his injuries, not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The two men were wearing black clothing, including black balaclavas, and were seen heading in the direction of Chell Heath Road following the assault.
