We are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision near Lichfield.
We were called just after 8.45am yesterday morning (Friday 19 April) to reports of a serious single-vehicle collision involving a Toyota Yaris on the A38, near to the Swinfen interchange roundabout.
Officers went to the scene with firefighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Sadly, a 55-year-old man, died at the scene.
Another man was taken to hospital with a head injury.
Two other people received minor injuries.
The man’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
We are keen to speak to anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area or those with any information which could help collision investigators.
