We have found around 70 cannabis plants inside an address in Stoke-on-Trent as part of our countywide crackdown on drug cultivation.
Officers went to an address in Shelton in the early hours of Wednesday 10 April. The grow was spread across four rooms in the building and was being powered by an illegal electrical bypass.
We’re working proactively to tackle serious and organised crime across Staffordshire, including cannabis cultivation.
These grows bring a host of dangerous fire safety hazards and are often run by sophisticated crime networks that exploit vulnerable people for profit.
Under Operation Levidrome, we’ve been proactively targeting the groups responsible and acting on intelligence from local communities to disrupt illegal drug cultivation across the county.
