Detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.
We received reports of a man in cardiac arrest at a property on Eastfield Drive, Hanley, shortly after 2.05am on Wednesday (13 September).
Sadly, a 34-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later. His family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.
A cordon has been set up at the address whilst officers carry out their enquiries
The death is being treated as unexpected.
A 43-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Another woman, aged 41, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs. She was further arrested in custody on suspicion of manslaughter.
Both have since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
We are continuing to carry out a number of lines of enquiry and are keen to speak to anyone with any information which could help us, particularly those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time.
