A boy and a girl have been arrested after another boy was assaulted at a school in Stoke-on-Trent.
Just after 9am this morning (21 September), we were called to a school in Bentilee when the victim, aged 15, was assaulted.
He was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Luckily, he did not need hospital treatment.
The school entered a state of lockdown as a precaution following the incident whilst officers searched the area.
A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has since been arrested on suspicion of assault.
A 13-year-old girl, from Stoke-on-Trent, has also been arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.
Both of them remain in custody while enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to work alongside the school today as part of their enquiries and are keen to speak to anyone with any information which may be able to help with our enquiries.
