We are currently dealing with a serious collision on the northbound carriageway of the A38 in East Staffordshire.
At 6.38pm this evening (2 October), we received a report of a collision between a van and a pedestrian in Shobnall.
Officers are currently at the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The pedestrian, a man, has been taken to hospital.
The road is expected to remain closed for some time whilst emergency services continue to deal with the incident. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes of travel where possible and avoid the area.
Updates will be provided in due course.
