A man has been arrested after a number of windows were smashed in Stoke-on-Trent.
Just after 2am on Sunday (8 October) we attended Sainsbury’s, on London Road, after damage was caused to the building.
We searched the area and found two men nearby. One of the men’s arms was bleeding heavily.
West Midlands Ambulance Service attended and took the injured man to hospital for treatment. During the incident, an officer was assaulted. They were not injured.
A 31-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage.
He has since been released on conditional police bail while the investigation continues.
