Officers searching for a man in connection with an incident on Nash Peake Street recently have made an arrest today (9 October).
We were called to the address in Tunstall on Thursday 28 September. A man refused to leave the address and was spoken to by specially-trained negotiators after he barricaded himself inside.
Later that day, the man managed to escape by getting through to an empty adjoining building.
Officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries and have been searching addresses in the area as part of their efforts to locate the suspect.
Earlier today, we arrested a 36-year-old man, of no-fixed-address, on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug of class B, theft, burglary and assault by beating.
He remains in custody at this time while our investigation continues.
