A man has been arrested following a collision in North Staffordshire yesterday.
It happened on Cheadle Road, Blythe Bridge, just before 6.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 October) following a collision involving a black Infiniti and a black Peugeot 207.
Officers went to the scene with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Thankfully, no one was injured.
We quickly found out the Peugeot was stolen and a man from inside had left the scene before we arrived.
A short time later, we arrested a 44-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion of drink driving and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
He has since been released on conditional police bail while our investigation continues.
