We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Biddulph.
We were called to Congleton Road just after 6pm yesterday (Monday 16 October) following reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a red Ford Mondeo.
We attended the scene alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. He remains in a stable condition.
The road was closed whilst a detailed examination of the scene was carried out. The driver of the car remained at the scene and assisted officers with inquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or those with CCTV and dashcam footage from the area, are asked to contact us.
Call us on 101, quoting incident 562 of 16 October, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
