We are appealing for witnesses after a woman died in a collision in Kings Bromley.
We were called at 7.45pm last night (Thursday 19 October) following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a van on Yoxall Road (A515), at the junction with Church Lane. It is believed the collision happened between 7.30pm and 7.40pm.
Officers attended along with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Sadly, the pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.
The van, believed to be white, travelling from the direction of Yoxall towards Kings Bromley, left the scene.
The woman’s next of kin are being supported by specially-trained officers at this time.
We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the van before or after the collision.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or smart doorbell footage, is asked to contact us on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 606 of 19 October 2023.
