Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested after we found heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis and £1,000 in cash.
Proactive officers spotted a potential drug deal take place on Avon Road yesterday (Monday 6 November). We then searched three separate addresses in the area and found around £1,500-worth of drugs.
A 25-year-old woman, from Cannock, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, possession of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, and being in possession of criminal property.
A 30-year-old woman, also from Cannock, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Both women have been released under investigation.
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to tackling serious and organised crime and protecting those who are at risk of exploitation through criminals – called Operation Target.
Work is continuing to proactively target the groups responsible for these crimes – including county lines, drug distribution, illegal firearms and sexual exploitation.
