A man has been arrested following a bungalow fire in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
We went to an address on Leamington Gardens just before 4pm on Sunday (12 November) with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
We found a bungalow well-alight and the fire was extinguished by firefighters.
A woman, in her 90s, and a man, in his 50s, were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
A 33-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson with intent to endanger life.
He has since been released on conditional police bail while our enquiries continue.
