We have released a picture of a man we want to speak to after a dog fatally attacked another dog inside Tamworth Castle Grounds.
At about 3pm on Sunday (5 November), a man was walking his dog when it attacked a Cocker Spaniel.
In an attempt to get the dog off, the owner of the Spaniel tried to intervene and was bitten on the chin as a result. She wasn’t seriously injured.
The Spaniel was taken to a vet following the ordeal and sadly died as a result of the injuries.
The offending dog was described as a mastiff-type breed. It was dark brown with tan coloured spots and had a distinctive gold collar. The owner, a man, was tall with short brown hair. He had tattoos on his neck and was wearing glasses, a gold chain, a black hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and trainers.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured or those with any information which can help us are asked to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 382 of 5 November, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
If you prefer to report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
