Three men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences following a search in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers spotted a car being driven dangerously on Anchor Road in Adderley Green at 7.14pm on Sunday (21 May).
We pulled over the car and while we were carrying out a search, one of the passengers tried to run off.
Officers managed to detain the man along with two others who were travelling in the car. We found cannabis inside and also tested the driver, who gave a positive reading for cannabis.
All three men, aged 28, 27 from Longton and 30, from Blythe Bridge, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
The driver was also arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.
They have since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
The arrests come as we continue to crackdown on serious and organised crime as part of our joint work with our Regional Organised Crime Unit and West Midlands Police as part of Operation Target.
