We have arrested a man after another man was stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent.
We received reports of a man, in his 30s, being stabbed on Waterloo Road, Cobridge, at 10pm on Sunday (18 June).
Just before 2.30am this morning (Tuesday 20 June), we arrested a 25-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion of wounding with intent.
He remains in custody and inquiries are ongoing.
The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
