A woman has been arrested after we found suspected packages of monkey dust in Stoke-on-Trent.
At 9.40am on Tuesday (25 July), we stopped a woman on Denbigh Street in Hanley and found the drugs following a search.
A 28-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs.
She has since been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.
The findings follow our ongoing commitment to tackling drug crime across the county and has seen officers targeting the supply of monkey dust with key local partners.
Back in April, we seized 10 kilos of monkey dust packages in Stoke-on-Trent and have been proactively targeting its supply locally.
Work is ongoing to disrupt the supply of drugs across Staffordshire and to support the vulnerable communities who are adversely affected by them.
