A man has been arrested following a fire at a flat in Stoke-on-Trent.
We were called to a flat on Enstone Close, Blurton, at 6.40am this morning (12 July).
A sofa was found well-alight in a ground floor flat.
Our colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also went to the scene and extinguished the fire. No one was inside the building at the time and no one was reported injured.
A short time later, we arrested a 33-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
He remains in custody while inquiries continue.
