We have released a CCTV still of a woman we wish to speak to following a theft in Cannock town centre.
On the morning of 29 June, the suspect followed the victim, a woman in her 70s, around several stores.
The suspect then followed the victim to a hairdressers on Mill Street and stole £900 from her hand bag.
We have been reviewing all of the available CCTV footage and speaking to people who were in the area at the time of the incident.
After completing other lines of enquiry, we can now release an image of the person we want to speak to.
She is described as Asian, of a medium build with long dark hair that was tied back. She was wearing a white long-sleeved top, black trousers and a brown and cream scarf. She was carrying a large brown and white striped bag.
We are also looking into the possibility that the suspect may also be involved in the theft of a wallet from a man in his 80s on 24 May.
Anyone who may recognise the woman in the image or those who may have information which could help with the investigation are asked to get in touch.
