We are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision in Lichfield this morning (17 July).
At 7am, we were called to the A515 in Kings Bromley after a grey BMW and a Renault lorry collided.
Officers went to the scene with paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The road was closed for a number of hours whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30’s, was found with serious injuries.
Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specially-trained officers have been deployed to support his family at this difficult and distressing time.
The driver of the lorry stayed at the scene and has been helping us with our enquiries.
We are keen to speak to anyone with any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time or those with any information which could help collision investigators.
Call us on 101, quoting incident 119 of 17 July, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
