Two boys arrested after £1k in heroin and crack seized

We’ve arrested two boys after seizing around £1,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine in Tamworth.

At 2.55pm yesterday (Wednesday 11 January), we spotted two boys on a cycle track in Glascote and stopped them for a search. One of them tried to throw away various packages of crack cocaine and heroin until officers found them.

We also seized a mobile phone for examination.

A 17-year-old boy, from Walsall, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply heroin.

Another boy, aged 16, from Walsall, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

Both have been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.
