Appeal for information after man and woman assaulted

We are appealing for information after a man and a woman were assaulted earlier this month in Rugeley.
We were called to Market Street at 12.50am on Sunday (1 January).
Our colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended.
A man and a woman, both in their 30s, were assaulted by unknown offender(s).
The woman sustained arm and facial injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The man sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Inquiries are ongoing and we are currently reviewing CCTV of the area at the time of the incident.
