We are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a van and a pedestrian in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Just before 8.15am this morning (Tuesday 10 January), a Ford Transit and a pedestrian came into collision on Red Lion Square.
Our colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and managed to free the pedestrian from underneath the van using specialist equipment.
The pedestrian, a 15-year-old girl, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Liverpool.
At this stage, her injuries are not believed to be serious.
Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time.
Contact us on 101, Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident 99 of 10 January.
