A man has been charged following a fatal collision in Burton-on-Trent.
Layton Robinson, aged 32, from Tamworth, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop after a road accident, using a motor vehicle on a road without third-party insurance, driving whilst disqualified and aggravated vehicle taking.
It comes following a collision on Horninglow Road North at about 4.40am on Tuesday (December 12).
A man in his 60s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers continue to support the family at this tragic time.
Robinson is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (14 December).
