The family of a ‘generous’ and ‘kind’ man who sadly died in a collision in Stoke-on-Trent have paid tribute to him.
Robert Bown, 33, who lived locally, was involved in a collision with a grey Honda Civic on Weston Road, at about 11.45pm on Saturday (16 December).
He suffered serious injuries at the scene and was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
In a tribute to him, Robert’s family and friends said they are ‘absolutely devastated’ to tragically lose him.
“Robert was such a generous, kind person, who was loved by everyone he met.
“Robert loved travelling the world but was never happier than when he returned to Weston Coyney, where he dedicated himself to Caverswall Cricket Club and was the heartbeat of the local community.
“He was a much-loved son, brother, partner and friend who was taken from us far too soon.”
Following the collision, the driver of the Honda stayed at the scene and has been helping officers with their enquiries.
