A drug dealer has been jailed after admitting to selling cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin.
Qasif Hussain, 38, from the Wolverhampton area, was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison at Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday (20 December).
He had already pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine), and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin) at a previous court hearing.
No separate penalty was handed out for possession of a controlled drug of class B.
Officers arrested Hussain at 11.45am, on October 13 this year, on Market Street, Cannock, as he got into a white Ford Transit van.
Hussain had a phone in-between his legs and a further phone was found in the vehicle. Both devices revealed links to drug dealing. Officers also discovered three snap-seal bags, which contained heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine and cannabis.
When officers searched two addresses linked to Hussain, in Cannock and Hednesford, they found drugs, scales, snap-bags and cash. Large amounts of heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and cannabis were seized.
Detective Sergeant Jonathan Bradbury said: “This is another great result as we continue to target drug dealers and serious organised crime across the county.”
Officers from the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU), which is made up of officers from Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire and West Mercia, have been tackling serious organised crime through Operation Target.
