Appeal after fatal collision

We are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Stafford town centre.

We were called just after 11.35am this morning (Wednesday 6 December) to reports of a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on Bridge Street.

Officers went to the scene with firefighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Sadly, the pedestrian, a man in his 80s, died at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

We are keen to speak to anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area or those with any information which could help collision investigators.
