We have made two arrests after officers seized crack cocaine and heroin, worth more than £3,000, in Stafford yesterday (Tuesday 15 August).
We stopped a grey Ford Mondeo at 1.25pm yesterday on Friars Road, Stafford.
We seized 40 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin as well as mobile phones.
Officers also carried out a search of a property in Stafford and found a quantity of crack cocaine and heroin, worth £3,300 overall, cash and scales.
The drugs along with the cash, scales and mobile phones were seized by officers.
A 17-year-old boy, from Wolverhampton, was arrested on suspicion of drugs driving and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
A 19-year-old woman, from Stafford, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Both have been bailed pending further inquiries.
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to tackling serious and organised crime and protecting those who are at risk of exploitation through criminals – called Operation Target.
Work is continuing to proactively target the groups responsible for these crimes – including county lines, drug distribution, illegal firearms and sexual exploitation.
