Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested after we found nearly 200 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin in Tamworth.
At 4pm yesterday (1 August), we searched a home in Stoneydelph and found £500 in cash, a number of suspected drug line phones, 146 deals of crack cocaine and 36 deals of heroin.
A 29-year-old man, from Birmingham, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, heroin, being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and possession of criminal property.
Another man, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of the same offences.
Both remain in custody while enquiries continue.
Two women, who were inside the address when it was searched, have since been safeguarded.
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to tackling serious and organised crime and protecting those who are at risk of exploitation through criminals – called Operation Target.
Work is continuing to proactively target the groups responsible for these crimes – including county lines, drug distribution, illegal firearms and sexual exploitation.
