Investigation continues into unexplained death

We are continuing to investigate an unexplained death in Burton-upon-Trent.

Officers went to Paget Street, at 7.55pm on Sunday 13 August, after they were informed about a fire involving a white VW Caddy van by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A man’s body was sadly recovered from the van. His death is currently being treated as unexplained and formal identification will take place in due course.

We are keen to speak to anyone who was in Paget Street area over the weekend, or anyone with any information or relevant dashcam footage which could help with our investigation.
