Officers investigating a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in East Staffordshire are appealing for witnesses.
We were called to the A38, Stretton, just before 10.45pm on Wednesday (23 August) following a collision between a dark-coloured BMW and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service after suffering a foot injury, where he remains.
The BMW did not stay at the scene and drove away.
Both sides of the A38 were closed by 12.20am but were later reopened.
Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or those with dashcam footage of the area at the time.
